Terms and conditions

Thank you for considering Simple Rent ApS, as your rental provider for audio-visual equipment. Our goal is to keep film rental simple and our terms and conditions aim to reflect that.

For the intention of the terms and conditions set forth below, “We”, “Us” and “Our” shall be deemed to be “SimpleRent ApS, Jernholmen 2, 2650 Hvidovre, Denmark (CVR: 34584184) and “You” and “Your” shall be deemed to be the contracting party and/or the person or company legally responsible for the rental agreement.

By renting our equipment, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth below:

Website and availability calendar:
The calendar on our site simplerent.dk, (“Website”) in intended to show the current availability of our gear and we strive to have this information updated in real time. Please note that this is solely to be considered a service, and that we cannot be held liable for any loss or damages in case of any discrepancies as to equipment availability from this service. However, in any such cases where the equipment needs prior servicing or is not available, we will strive to provide alternative and will contact you directly in this regard. We require all bookings to be made minimum 1 day prior to collecting the Equipment, in order for us to be able to prepare the equipment for pickup. In case of urgency and requirement of same day pickup, please contact us via phone or e-mail to see if we assist with your query, subject to an urgency fee.

Please note, when adding a booking to the shopping cart, it will hold the item for you for 5 min. If you change browsers midway (from your phone to your pc), the Website might still be holding the items you had in your cart, at the first browser.

Rental period and pickup / return information:
The rental period is the duration of which the equipment is rented and not returned to us. We offer free pickup from the day before the first rental day of your booking in the time frame between 14:00 and 16:30 PM from Our office located at Jernholmen 2, 2650 Hvidovre, Denmark, provided that you bring a valid picture ID (e.g. passport or driver’s license).

Any early or late pickup of the Equipment outside of this timeframe will be invoiced as additional rental days.

The equipment must be returned before 11:00 AM on the day after the last day in your booking. Any late return will be invoiced as additional rental day(s).

The equipment shall be returned to our office, within office hours or by using or 24/7 self-service garage system. Returning customers, who have shown up in person with an ID ahead of their booking, can also order to pick-up using the same system.
In both cases let us know at time of booking if you intend to use this system and we will provide you with an access link.

To facilitate our services best possible, please write in the comments on your order, when you expect to pick up and return the equipment.

Rental Fees and Deposits:

The rental fee and deposit has to be paid in full on our Website or in person, prior to the equipment being released to you. The deposit will be refunded to you upon the return of the equipment in its original condition.

Our site works like any web shop, you select the date you want to rent, the equipment you want to rent, add it to the basket and check out paying with “credit card/ mobilepay”, “bank transfer” or “credit account/ invoice”.

Using a credit card to pay your booking is super easy and convenient. We use an online payment service, who securely handle all our payments externally. All payment data is securely encrypted and no payment data is saved on our site.
On checkout, the amount is reserved on your card until your order is finalized 2 days before booking begins, where the payment will be charged on your card. Should you cancel your booking earlier than 2 days before, your card will not be charged.

You are welcome to use “Bank transfer” as payment when checking out, you will then receive an order confirmation with our bank details to use for the transfer. BE AWARE all bookings must be cleared in our account before pickup, with no exceptions.

Invoice payment. For returning customers with a Danish company registration (CVR no.), you can apply for a credit account by writing us an email. When We have set up your credit account, you are able to select “credit account/ invoicing” on checkout and you can pay your booking via invoice up to 30 days after the rental has ended. Please allow 1-3 days for the credit account to be set up. Apply by setting up an account on our site and write us an email after with your CVR and invoice info.

For EAN customers, please set up an account with us, by sending us an email with your EAN, CVR and invoice info after.


You can cancel your booking free of charge until 2 days prior to the first day of your rental period. Cancellations later than 2 days before the rental period, will be charged in full.

Responsibility and Insurance:

In order for us to able to continue our simple rental service, we require that all customers take reasonable care of our equipment and act responsibly. Please note that in accordance with Danish law, you will be responsible for damages caused by misuse or negligence, while we will be responsible for repairs due to normal wear and tear.

Further, you agree to take reasonable care of the equipment during the rental period and to use it only for its intended purpose. Notwithstanding any of the above, you will be liable for any damage to the equipment or loss of the equipment during the rental period not covered by the insurance Company or exceeding the insurance deductible amount.


Our insurance company (TopDanmark A/S) within the territories of Denmark, Sweden and Norway covers our equipment. However, you will be responsible for a deductible amount of DKK 10.000, – on any claim made by us, in case of any loss or damage to the equipment during the rental period.

Please note that in order for You to be covered by Our insurance, you will have to follow the terms of the insurance to be covered, including but not limited to; do not leave the equipment unattended outdoors, in cars or other high risk areas. Please contact us for a full overview of the necessary insurance requirement conditions, pursuant to the purpose of your particular usage of the equipment.

Liability, indemnification and termination:

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless against any and all claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of the rental and use of the equipment, including but not limited to economic claims from any third party.

We reserve the right to terminate the rental agreement at any time if you fail to comply with any of the terms and conditions stated herein, including if we discover that your use of the equipment constitutes a breach of rights belonging to a third party.


We reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without notice. Please always carefully read these terms and conditions on our site: www.simplerent.dk/terms-and-conditions prior to any new booking, even if you are a return customer.


The rental agreement between you and us, including these terms and conditions shall be construed in accordance with and governed by the laws of Denmark. Any disputes, controversy or claims under or in relation to this agreement shall initially be settled in first instance by the Copenhagen City Court.
